Naturopathic consultation

Naturopathic consultation with Dr. Maurice Werness, ND

A consultation starts with a free 20-minute conversation. Dr. Werness listens to what you want to change, looks at your week as a whole, and tells you honestly whether working together makes sense. If it does, you build a plan of small, lasting changes together, alongside your own doctor.

What happens in a first naturopathic consultation?

You talk about what brought you here, what you have already tried, and how an ordinary week looks: food, sleep, stress, movement, time outside and the people around you. If you took the Garden Check-in and chose to share it, Dr. Werness has read your map before the call, so you do not start from zero.

  1. The free Garden Check-in

Three minutes. A map of your week and one small practice to start with.

  2. A free 20-minute conversation

By video or phone. What you want, what you have tried, and whether this is the right fit. No obligation.

  3. A plan you shape together

If you both want to continue, you agree the pace, the support and how often you check in.

Who is a consultation for?

Adults who want to understand why they feel the way they do and who want to work on their energy, stress, sleep and eating, or on staying strong as they age. It suits people who like having a guide and who are happy to keep their own doctor.

If you are in an emergency, call 911. If you are being treated for a serious condition, your medical team should lead, and anything you do here sits beside their care.

Do you meet in person or by video?

Dr. Werness is based near Durham, North Carolina, and works with people across the Triangle, including Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Cary. Consultations also happen by video, so you can talk from home.

What does a consultation cost?

The Garden Check-in and the first 20-minute conversation are free. We talk about the investment on the conversation, before you decide anything.

If a program makes sense for you, Dr. Werness explains its format, length and investment on that first conversation, before you decide anything. Nothing is charged on this site.

How does this work alongside my own doctor?

Dr. Werness works alongside the other doctors in your life. He never asks anyone to stop or change a medicine; that conversation belongs with the doctor who prescribed it. If something you describe needs your own doctor first, he will say so.

How do I book a first call?

The best start is the free check-in, because it gives Dr. Werness your map before you talk. If you would rather skip it, you can ask for a call directly.
